Living here

Seeing is believing

Shaunavon…Seeing is BelievingThe "raw" beauty of the great southwest region is unsurpassed.  Our sunrises and sunsets are unequalled by none--we believe the provincial motto "Saskatchewan - land of the living skies" was actually penned just for us!  You only have to turn off of the Trans Canada highway, head south on Highway 37 and you will see what the rest of  us have seen and loved for years.  From our wide open prairies dotted with ranches to our yellow fields of swaying grain, rolling hills, rugged badlands and meandering creeks---we have it all, we don't need mountains and oceans!  Wildlife abounds in our area as well,  you can't miss the herds of whitetail, muledeer, and throngs of antelope, along with an increasing number of moose.  Visitors to our town are often amazed by the quality and variety of businesses and services available here.  Shaunavon offers a wide range of services as we are a major service centre in the great southwest, and our shopping is second to none!  Shaunavon serves a large agricultural area, and is fortunate to have a bustling oil industry. We invite you to our community, to see and enjoy what we have to offer.
