Originally from Shaunavon, Blaze brings valuable knowledge of our community, along with a strong background in finance from his time at RBC and pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a Major in Management.

The 2025 consolidated operating and capital budget was adopted by Shaunavon Council members at a Special Budget Council Meeting on April 2, 2025. The Town of Shaunavon, alongside the RMs of Arlington, Grassy Creek, and Bone Creek, is pleased to announce that the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has approved the implementation of Point of Care Testing (POCT) equipment at the Shaunavon Hospital. Our Councils have been actively working with SHA to address service disruptions in Shaunavon’s Emergency Department caused by temporary lab staff shortages.
The Grand Coteau Heritage & Cultural Centre is seeking two full-time summer students for the positions of Program Assistant and Museum Assistant for the period of May 5 to August 22, 2025 (Can be adjusted to accommodate student availability) Program Assistant duties include: planning, promotion and delivery of summer programs for youth and adults and community events; assisting with planning and delivering school programs; responsibility for summer tourism initiatives.

The Town of Shaunavon is pleased to announce that the Crescent Point Wickenheiser Centre will now be renamed the Veren Wickenheiser Centre, reflecting the recent name change of Crescent Point Energy Corp. to Veren Inc. The multi-use recreational facility, which has been a cornerstone for numerous community activities in Shaunavon, will feature updated signage reflecting the new name in the future.
Head down to the CPWC on Friday January 24th for Hockey Night in Shaunavon - Sponsored by Rocky Mountain Equipment. Enjoy shaved beef on a bun for supper at 5:30pm upstairs in the Greenslade Lounge, and stick around for fun equipment demos and cheer on the Shaunavon Senior Badgers as they battle the Cabri Bulldogs!
We are thrilled to announce that the Town of Shaunavon has successfully been awarded up to $22,603.00 from SGI’s Provincial Traffic Safety Fund Grant to assist with the cost of purchasing additional flashing crosswalk signs to install in Shaunavon school zones! Currently, each of Shaunavon’s school zones is equipped with one set of solar light up crosswalk signs.
