Interim Mayor Travis Nelson signed a municipal proclamation declaring September 20 to October 13 as Culture Days | Fête de la culture in the Town of Shaunavon. Culture Days is a national celebration highlighting the importance of arts and culture in our communities. Shaunavon’s Culture Days Event Hub partners the Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Centre and Shaunavon Library have many Culture Days activities planned for you to enjoy!
The Town of Shaunavon would like to say good luck to Hannah Lingenfelter as she returns back to the University of Saskatchewan in person. Hannah will be resuming her studies towards her Bachelor of Education.
Hannah joined us in April as the Communications Officer and did a great job promoting and informing local happenings to our residents throughout her time here.
We wish her all the best and hope to see her back in the Town Office in the spring!
In Hannah’s place, we are excited to welcome Anna Morin to the Town Office!
You may remember Anna as she served as Shaunavon Wellness & Leisure’s Summer Program Coordinator this year.
Anna has decided to stay working within the Town of Shaunavon as our new Communications Officer.
In the position of CO, Morin is responsible for all outgoing public communications and will be managing all of the Town of Shaunavon’s social media platforms.
Morin will focus on informing local residents of town operations, promoting the community, development and implementation of local tourism programs, public relation plans and marketing strategies.
Morin will collaborate with the Economic Development Committee and will be working closely with the Economic Development Officer, Lauren Johnson.
Together, Morin and Johnson will be promoting an attractive economic climate by welcoming new business opportunities, building on local assets, resources, heritage and innovation.
Morin is going to be posting announcements on several of the town’s social media platforms to ensure that all demographics within the Town of Shaunavon are being reached.
