Shaunavon & District Fire & Rescue is changing it up this Boomtown Christmas!! SDFR will be collecting donations for the Shaunavon Food Bank during the Parade of Lights. Acceptable Items: Non-Perishable Food, Personal Care Items, Cleaning Supplies, Laundry Supplies or Cash Donation. Gather your items, and give them to one of our firefighters walking during the parade and share the holiday spirit with those in need!
The Town of Shaunavon Council has amended the Traffic Bylaw concerning the Shaunavon Public School Frontage.
Effective immediately, the North Side of 5th Avenue from 1st Street W to 2nd Street W has been transitioned from being a “No Stopping 8am-4:30pm Mon-Fri” Zone to being a School Loading Zone. This School Loading Zone applies at all times (24 hours a day).
The School Loading Zone allows citizens to have a 10 minute window for pick up and drop off all throughout the school day. It will also allow the road crews to clear snow as needed throughout the winter season to keep the school zone clear of snow and ice.
The image attached portrays the new signage installed where the new School Loading Zone regulations will be enforced. A total of 3 signs are located on the power poles along the zone to be clearly visible for drivers.
The “No Stopping 8am-4:30pm Mon-Fri” Zone will remain in effect for the remainder of the North Side of 5th Avenue Public School Frontage from 2nd Street W to 3rd Street W.
