The Town of Shaunavon will be having a grader come in to assist with snow removal on the evening of Monday February 6th. Grading will begin at midnight on the night of Feb. 6th, and trucks will remove the graded snow on Tuesday February 7th, and continue to clean the snow on February 8th if necessary.
The locations that will be graded the night of Monday Feb 6th are the following:
- 2nd Avenue (from 4th St W to 4th St E)
- 4th Avenue (from 1st St E to 5th St E)
- 5th Avenue (from 1st St E to past 5th St E)
- 6th Avenue (from 3rd St E to past 5th St E)
- 7th Avenue (from Centre St to 5th St E)
- 8th Avenue (from Centre St to 3rd St E)
*Refer to the areas highlighted in BLUE on map*
Vehicles MUST BE MOVED off these respective roadways PRIOR TO 8PM on the evening of Monday February 6th. Any vehicles not moved by this time will be TOWED at the owner’s expense.
This aggressive snow removal is important because removing built-up snow from our streets improves drainage and eases street maintenance come spring time because it clears storm drains and reduces the amount of runoff.
Thank you for yielding to snow removal equipment as they operate throughout the coming days. We appreciate your patience and co-operation during this time!
