The Town of Shaunavon will be having a grader come in to assist with snow removal on the evening of Monday February 13th. Grading will begin at midnight on the night of Feb. 13th, and trucks will remove the graded snow on Tuesday February 14th, and continue to clear the snow on February 15th if necessary.
The locations that will be graded the night of Monday Feb 13th are the following:
- 3rd Street East (from 3rd Ave to 10th Ave)
- 4th Street East (from 1st Ave to 10th Ave)
- 5th Street East (from 1st Ave to 6th Ave)
*Refer to the areas highlighted in GREEN on map provided*
Vehicles MUST BE MOVED off these respective roadways PRIOR TO 8PM on the evening of Monday February 13th. Any vehicles not moved by this time will be TOWED at the owner’s expense.
This aggressive snow removal to remove the built-up snow and ice from the streets is important because it helps with controlling icy streets during temperature fluctuations, it clears storm drains to improve drainage, and it reduces the amount of runoff which eases street maintenance during melting temperatures.
Thank you for yielding to snow removal equipment as they operate throughout the coming days. We appreciate your patience and co-operation during this time!
