PUBLIC NOTICE: 2023 MOSQUITO CONTROL PROGRAM

The mosquito “fogging” program that was implemented in 2020, 2021 & 2022 for the control of adult mosquitos, will continue again this year (2023). • “Fogging” will occur between the hours from “Dusk to Dawn” on either Tuesday or Wednesday evenings, dependent on weather conditions. • “Fogging” will commence Tuesday May 30th between 4:30 am and 7:00 am (weather permitting) • DeltaGard 20EW will be utilized. This product is derived from a natural insecticide in Chrysanthemum flowers and is recommended for use by the World Health Organization Pesticide Evaluation Scheme. The Town of Shaunavon, alongside the RMs of Arlington, Grassy Creek, and Bone Creek, is pleased to announce that the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has approved the implementation of Point of Care Testing (POCT) equipment at the Shaunavon Hospital. Our Councils have been actively working with SHA to address service disruptions in Shaunavon’s Emergency Department caused by temporary lab staff shortages.
