With the end of the year upon us, we would like to kindly remind residents who have not yet paid their 2024 utilities and taxes, that the deadline for payment of 2024 utilities and property taxes is swiftly approaching. Property Taxes and Utilities are due ON OR BEFORE Tuesday December 31st, 2024 BY 4PM and MUST be received IN OFFICE on or before this date.
Gate Valve Replacements Update As of August 24 2023
To date, a total of 9 out of 10 gate valves have been successfully replaced throughout Shaunavon during the program to continue improving our water infrastructure.
PLEASE NOTE: A Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory is in place for the PURPLE and BROWN areas in the second map, and will be lifted once tests deem the water safe for human consumption (APPROXIMATELY one week from August 17th). All affected users will be notified when the Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory for their area has been lifted.* AUGUST 15 – PURPLE: 400 Block on 3rd Ave West (South Side Only) 500 and 600 Blocks on 3rd Ave. West AUGUST 16 – BROWN: 3rd Ave. East from Centre Street to 2nd Street East (Both Sides of 3rd Ave)
Another update for the gate valve replacement program will be posted on AUGUST 30 for work being done in the BURGUNDY area:
600 and 700 blocks of Centre Street
6th Ave from 1st St W to Centre Street
All affected users will be notified of the advisory in place with an official letter from the Water Security Agency and will be updated when the Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory for their area has been lifted (Approximately one week from the date of replacement). **
