The Town of Shaunavon is pleased to welcome Blaze Larson as our new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in Training! Originally from Shaunavon, Blaze brings valuable knowledge of our community, along with a strong background in finance from his time at RBC and pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a Major in Management.
The Town of Shaunavon is pleased to announce that the Crescent Point Wickenheiser Centre will now be renamed the Veren Wickenheiser Centre, reflecting the recent name change of Crescent Point Energy Corp. to Veren Inc.
The multi-use recreational facility, which has been a cornerstone for numerous community activities in Shaunavon, will feature updated signage reflecting the new name in the future. This change highlights the continued partnership between the Town of Shaunavon and Veren Inc., ensuring the Centre remains a hub for sports, events, and gatherings.
“Our community takes great pride in the Wickenheiser Centre as a place for recreation, connection, and celebration,” said Alain Tetrault, Shaunavon Wellness & Leisure Council Representative. “We are thrilled to continue our strong relationship with Veren Inc. and are grateful for their ongoing support of this vital facility.”
A representative from Veren Inc. expressed their excitement about continuing to support the Shaunavon community through this partnership:
“At Veren, we are committed to building strong connections with the communities we serve, and we are proud to see our name associated with such an important community facility,” said Robert Karch, Superintendent Saskatchewan Operations.
Stay tuned for further updates as we celebrate this next chapter for the Veren Wickenheiser Centre!
