Shaunavon RCMP COVID-19 Update

2020-03-20 - The Shaunavon RCMP would like to take this opportunity to thank the citizens of our detachment area for their cooperation in regards with the Covid-19 virus.   We would like to assure our citizens that your safety is important to the RCMP and we are taking measures to ensure our front-line Police officers will be available to assist during any crisis.

Shaunavon RCMP would like to advise everyone that the Detachment is still open even though our front door is currently locked. RCMP officers are still available to provide the essential services and assist in times of emergency. The RCMP have implemented new preventative protocols which include social distancing, dealing with complaints over the phone when appropriate, asking screening questions about Covid-19 exposure, and lastly, officers wearing personal protection equipment while speaking to you in person.  The below noted contact numbers are available to the Public to call the Police when needing assistance:

·  911 for Emergencies (Ambulance, Fire, Police)

·  306-297-5550 “0” or 310-RCMP (7267) to speak to the RCMP Dispatch Operators who will then dispatch RCMP

·  306-297-5550 Press “2” for message of an administrative questions, concerns or to leave a message for a RCMP Officer.

Currently all volunteer criminal record applications are suspended though exceptions maybe made for employment checks and Saskatchewan Health Authority requests.

The Shaunavon RCMP thank you for your understanding and patience while we get through these new and troubling times.

Sgt Don McPhee – Detachment Commander
