HYDRANT FLUSHING On Tuesday May 23rd and Wednesday May 24th Public Works will be doing hydrant flushing in Shaunavon. Shaunavon’s fire hydrants are connected to the potable drinking water system, where hydrant flushing is performed twice a year to remove any settled sediment, contributing to the Town of Shaunavon’s Water Quality Improvement Strategy.

In the spirit of Economic Development Week, the Town of Shaunavon would like to acknowledge all of the amazing businesses in Shaunavon who help stimulate our local economy and congratulate all the new businesses who have set up shop in our community! It is wonderful to see businesses investing in our community and we are so thankful to have a wide variety of local top notch services and enthusiastic business owners.

DATE CHANGE - COMMUNITY CLEAN UP MONDAY MAY 15 We are looking for volunteers to help us clean up our community green spaces to showcase how beautiful Shaunavon is as the weather warms up! This includes the parks, walking trails, campgrounds and any other places that need a good clean-up!

The Town of Shaunavon will be pursuing efforts in managing gopher populations this spring to decrease negative impacts of gophers which includes land/property damage, disease transmission, and walking hazards. To accomplish this, Rozol (a grain-treated pesticide) will be placed in bait stations where gopher ingestion of the grain-fed pesticide will cause extermination a few days later.

Celebrating May is KidSport Month - all funds raised go o support our local kids to participate in sport! $5 for Hotdog & Pop $3 for additional Hotdog Thank you to Magnum trucks who will match all proceeds made from the sale in celebration of their 10 year anniversary.
