CAA School Zone Safety Assessments have been completed once again at Shaunavon’s three schools: Shaunavon Public School Shaunavon High School Christ the King School Since the initial assessments in 2022, all three school zones have been updated to include flashing crosswalk signs and radar speed detecting signs. “The results from the 2024 assessments are positive,” said Bonnie Lingenfelter, Regional Bylaw Officer, Town of Shaunavon, “[…] Although there is still work to do, the recent assessments in 2024 clearly show an improvement in behaviour from motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists in all three school zones.

We’re so excited to announce our DRIVE-IN MOVIE on Thursday October 10th 2024!! Based on our voting poll, the movie that will be showing is THE GOONIES (1985): A group of young misfits called The Goonies discover an ancient map and set out on an adventure to find a legendary pirate’s long-lost treasure.
On Tuesday October 1st and Wednesday October 2nd Public Works will be doing routine hydrant flushing in Shaunavon. Since Shaunavon’s fire hydrants are connected to the potable drinking water system, Hydrant flushing is performed routinely twice a year to remove any settled sediment, contributing to the Town of Shaunavon’s Water Quality Improvement Strategy.
The Town of Shaunavon is thrilled to announce that the Shaunavon Trail, Walkway Lighting project has been selected to receive a financial contribution from Trans Canada Trail (TCT) through the Trail Funding Program! The Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) grant from TCT has approved up to $36,350 to enhance our local section of Canada’s national trail.
