Interim Mayor Travis Nelson signed a municipal proclamation declaring September 20 to October 13 as Culture Days | Fête de la culture in the Town of Shaunavon. Culture Days is a national celebration highlighting the importance of arts and culture in our communities. Shaunavon’s Culture Days Event Hub partners the Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Centre and Shaunavon Library have many Culture Days activities planned for you to enjoy!

It is important that Town of Shaunavon residents have access to trusted, timely and accurate information to ensure their own safety and that of their family and loved ones. In response to this need, the Town of Shaunavon has chosen Voyent Alert! as the communication service provider for these kinds of events.
We are calling all citizens in Shaunavon, the prairies, and the surrounding areas to ACTION! To our knowledge, CBSA will be moving forward with a decision to reduce hours of service at ports of entry across the Prairies with little to no consultation with surrounding communities or stakeholders, and the USCBP appears to be following suit with similar changes on the U.
Please note that the Town of Shaunavon is continuing its Gate Valve Replacement Program during the following dates and locations outlined below and in the map attached: August 27th, 2024 - AFFECTED LOCATIONS: PINK 600 and 700 blocks on Centre Street Hall Street in the industrial area August 28th, 2024 - AFFECTED LOCATIONS: BLUE 100 and 200 block of 3rd Avenue West 300 block on 1st Street and 2nd Street West
Please note that effective immediately, the Town of Shaunavon will NO LONGER BE ACCEPTING concrete at our lagoon facility. All concrete waste must be brought to the Southwest Waste Management Authority Landfill for disposal. They will accept all concrete waste at a cost of $25.00 per ton, charged to the individual who dropped it off.
