Ministry of Environment - Conservation Officers Saskatchewan Crime Watch Advisory Crude Oil Dumped in Shaunavon Sewage Lagoon. On June 13, 2022, Shaunavon Conservation Officers became aware that crude oil was dumped into the Town of Shaunavon’s domestic wastewater holding cell (sewage lagoon). Conservation Officers investigated and found that a large amount of crude oil was discharged into the sewage lagoon.

NEW ELKS PRESIDENT

Photo by Andy Cox. Kyle Stevenson was installed as the new Provincial President of the Elks this past weekend. The Elks are held their 93rd Annual Convention in the community over the weekend. The Convention was held from Thursday to Sunday morning and welcomed about 50 delegates. The group meets to discuss a wide range of topics from changes to bylaws to some of the organization’s fundraising projects.

S.P.A.R.K. Early Bird Registration is now OPEN from June 6 to June 24th. That’s right, S.P.A.R.K. is BACK this summer!! This great program is offered by Shaunavon Wellness & Leisure Summer Active partnered with the Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Centre. This program is for Ages 6-10 and runs Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays for 4 weeks - July 5 to July 28.

The Town of Shaunavon welcomes applications from qualified, motivated individuals to fill a fulltime position as the DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS. The Director of Operations is an out-of-scope position with the Town of Shaunavon. Under the direct supervision of the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director of Operations will be responsible for the planning, organization, direction, and general management of the Operations department (Public Works, Parks and Facilities), including all assets, facilities, and the oversight of external engineering and applicable service contracts.
