The initiation of a voluntary Life Safety Fire Awareness Program in the Town of Shaunavon has been approved by the Town of Shaunavon and the Shaunavon and District Fire and Rescue and is currently in effect. The Life Safety Fire Awareness Program is voluntary for commercial and industrial assessed property owners within the Town of Shaunavon to utilize under their own discretion.

The Town of Shaunavon has adopted the Bylaw No. 2022-03, known as the Fire Protection Bylaw, which states that the cost of fire prevention, suppression and emergency response services shall be charged directly to the property owners who receive the services in accordance with rates contained within the Fire Protection Bylaw.
