On Tuesday May 28th and Wednesday May 29th Public Works will be doing routine hydrant flushing in Shaunavon. Shaunavon’s fire hydrants are connected to the potable drinking water system, where hydrant flushing is performed twice a year to remove any settled sediment, contributing to the Town of Shaunavon’s Water Quality Improvement Strategy.

The Town of Shaunavon is continually investing in our town’s infrastructure, including doing upgrades to our water distribution system. The Town of Shaunavon initiated its Gate Valve Replacement Program in 2023 to replace problematic gate valves in select areas. The 2024 Gate Valve Replacement Program will be commencing on SUNDAY MAY 26TH in the following area: CENTRE STREET from 3rd Avenue to 5th Avenue
Shaunavon’s 2024 MARKET AT THE MUSEUM will be starting on Saturday, July 6 and will run every Saturday from 9:30 am to Noon until September 14 on the front lawn of the Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Centre, 440 Centre Street. We would like to make the public aware that Associate Appraisers from Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency (SAMA) will be in Shaunavon periodically between May 1 to October 31 2024, to perform their reinspection program. Please note they will be present on Tuesday May 14th and Thursday May 16th in Shaunavon. The appraisers will be travelling in a marked SAMA vehicle and will have a SAMA ID on at all times.
